This is not a plug. This is not a paid-for advertisement. This is not the bakery of some obscure relative of mine, which has nothing to do with anything I would normally post about here. This is bad-assed cakery and on my list of awesome places to visit next time I am in Chicago.
The Bleeding Heart Bakery out of Chicago has a lot to share with the world. Amazing cake designs (pictured below) delicious and bizarre recipies (Peanut butter & bacon cupcakes?) and some incredible talent. Among my favorite cakes:
Zombie Unicorn. Which may have been a pegasus at one time, see the wing stubs? Ideal for a child’s birthday party. Imagination, fly FREE!
A severed arm. Besides the bloody stump, it looks like it could have been a doll arm. Behold, the miracle of fondant!
Finally, and happily, this has nothing to do with death, zombies, horror, or anything really. Its just an awesome friggin cake that deserves some lovin’. Its a batman-icorn? Bwahahaha.
As someone who has been to and ordered from Bleeding Heart I’m shocked I didn’t know about this to post on Buy Zombie! …that is something I may have to change..
I absolutely LOVE their work, there are some other zombie-related cakes & such they’ve done too, I just posted a few recent ones that kicked me into intrigued mode.
